Welcome at the Language Centre of Salzburg University

The University's Language Centre offers a wide range of language courses from European languages to Arabic and Japanese. Our courses, with a maximum of 20 participants, are open to both students and staff of Salzburg University, The Mozarteum and also to anyone interested in learning a foreign language. Details on registration, fees, language levels and this semesters's programme are available on this website. You can download the programme (in German) below. Should changes to the programme be necessary up-to-date information can be found on our website. Please, check regularly.

Registration: 13 February – 10 March 2017

Registration of all Language Centre courses must be made personally at the office of the Language Centre during office hours. Registration by phone or email is not possible.

Please check the updates on courses which are already fully booked.

You will find those updates next to the course description. To get there click on Course programme and then on Summer semester 2017. There you choose the language you want to learn and then you click on Courses.

For any full courses there is still the possibility to be waitlisted.

Please allow enough time for the short placement test and the registration process (approx. 45 minutes).

    Important dates and information regarding registration for courses at the Language Center during Summer Semester 2017.
    In the spring of 2017, the publication of Christian Doppler's essay "Vom farblicht der Doppelsterne" will be published for the 175th time. The first time, he laid down the foundations of his theory, which would be characterized in modern physics as the Doppler Effect. The well-known Austrian physicist Anton Zeilinger describes the Doppler Effect as a "millennium effect". When: Mondays, from 6 March, 2017. Time: 17:15 – 18:45.     On 6 March, 2017, Nicole Meisner-Kober will hold a guest lecture on the topic "RNA pathologies, RNA drugs and exosomal RNA shuttles: Three tales on lessons learned from pharmaceutical RNA research" at 16:00 in the Grünen Hörsaal (403) of the NW Faculty. The Department of Molecular Biology invites you to attend!
    In four blocks, the question with regard to specific theological theology will be discussed in four blocks starting 7 March,2017, 14:30 - 18:00 in HS 103 of the Faculty of Catholic Theological (Universitätsplatz 1, Salzburg, 3rd floor).
