Jochim Hansen received his PhD in 2006 at the University of Basel and his Habilitation (tenure) in 2015 at the University of Salzburg. He worked as research fellow at the New York University and the University of Heidelberg. Now Jochim is Associate Professor at the University of Salzburg. His research addresses questions located in the area of social cognition. Specifically, it focuses on the influence of cognitive fluency experiences for social judgments and decisions, and on determinants and consequences of abstract versus concrete mental construal.
