Professor Josef Perner studied Psychology, Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Salzburg and received his PhD from the University of Toronto. He was a research assistant at the University of Basel, a faculty member of the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex as well as a Visiting Professor at the Max-Planck Institute for Psychological Research in Munich. Since 1995 Josef Perner has been professor of Psychology at the University of Salzburg. He explores the relationship between mental and spiritual processes and the episodic memory. Furthermore, he is interested in finding explanations for the human behaviour. Professor Perner is initiator of the PhD Programme "Imaging the Mind" at the University of Salzburg. |
