Research at the University of Salzburg

Research at the University of Salzburg is diverse and broad-based. The characteristic element of research and the core competence of the university is basic research. Current problems of applied research and development as well as knowledge and technology transfer are frequently addressed in many ways, too. In both areas, the University of Salzburg has made considerable achievements, confirmed by the number of third-party funded projects and the number of publications. Research-based teaching is another trademark of the university. It combines the great scope of research activities with an excellent range of courses for the benefit of both students and young scientists.
