With my research I´m trying to shed light on socialpsychological factors of resilience through investigating self-regulative and motivational processes of individuals in the face of self-threats, such as negative feedback, self-discrepancies or not yet attained goals. With my research I seek to extract conclusions on a theoretical but also on a practical level (i.e. for coaches, HR-Manager, psychotherapists or consultants) addressing the following questions:
- What are resilience factors of the self?
- Can these factors (i.e. self-compassion) be strengthened through training or specific interventions?
- How can we find a way to a more individualized and need-oriented interaction between coach & coachee or therapist & patient?
- How can we optimize communication in the workplace, so that individuals stay action-oriented even in the face of threat (i.e. change-management, team-communication, employee-appraisal, negotiation or conflict resolution)?
