    Der Angst als Grundgefühl der Gegenwart, deren pathologischer Ausformung zu widerstehen sei, waren die Salzburger Hochschulwochen 2018 gewidmet.
    Wer gut schläft, lernt besser. Das hat jetzt eine Langzeitstudie an Schülern bestätigt. Konkret haben Salzburger Schlafforscher um Kerstin Hödlmoser in einem 8-Jahres-Vergleich herausgefunden, dass für das Festigen von Informationen im Schlaf ein ganz bestimmtes Hirnstrommuster eine Schlüsselrolle spielt.
    Am Samstag, den 22. September 2018 ab 11 Uhr stellt der Botanische Garten die Bilder der Künstlerin Karin Wimmeder aus. Nur bei Schönwetter, Ersatztermin: Samstag, 29. September 2018, 11 Uhr. Musikalisch untermalt von der Rhythmusgruppe "".
    Von 31.Juli bis 31. August 2018 zeigt das Literaturarchiv Salzburg die Ausstellung "Raus aus der Stadt! Hofmannsthal und das Junge Wien auf Sommerfrische". Dies ist der einzige außerhalb Wiens gezeigte Teil eines vom Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Geschichte und Theorie der Biographie initiierten Ensembles von Ausstellungen mit dem Titel „Das Junge Wien. Natur plus X“ zur Autorengruppe Jung-Wien – Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Arthur Schnitzler, Richard Beer-Hofmann, Hermann Bahr und Felix Salten.
    Die 6. Salzburg Summer School findet vom 3. bis 4. September 2018 statt. Zwei Tage lang wird ein umfassendes pädagogisches Sommerfortbildungsprogramm für Lehrkräfte und Lehramtsstudierende aller Schulformen und Unterrichtsfächer angeboten. Anmeldungen sind möglich.
