Currently I am working on my bachelor thesis, focusing on plant-soil interactions. I am investigating the impact of soil biota feedback on plants, using different accessions of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana and other Brassicaceae. My hypothesis is that the impact of plant-soil interactions positively correlates with the degree of genetic relationship of subsequent plant cultures. Due to my studies of biology at the University of Salzburg and my job at a small farm which produces organic vegetables, I developed a great passion for botany as well as for agriculture, ecology, biodiversity and ecosystems, evolution and coevolution. With the vision that organic sustainable agriculture can feed the world and that biodiversity protects and renatures soils and ecosystems, I want to devote my life to investigate these topics and to realize projects that help protect soil and enhance biodiversity.
