Curvature & Biology Workshop - 06 to 08 February 2019

Curvature & Biology

Workshop Information

Experimental and theoretical evidence indicate that surface curvature plays a role on the behavior of living objects ranging from cell membranes to single cells and tissues. It seems timely to start bringing the community that works on these problems together to exchange experiences ideas and potential projects for the future. The workshop will bring experimentalists who test the role of curvature on different biological phenomena, theoreticians dealing with models of biological processes on curved surfaces and mathematicians dealing with geometry. Further expertise from image analysis, discrete geometry and 3D imaging will also be included.

There is no registration fee for this workshop. The participants are kindly asked to organize their accommodation on their own.
