Univ.-Prof. Dr. Arne Bathke

Barrierefreiheit: Kurzbeschreibung des BildesArne Bathke was born in Hamburg and grew up in northern Germany and Norway. He studied mathematics in Göttingen, completed study visits to Italy and the USA and received his doctorate in 2000. After completing his doctorate, he worked for 11 years in the USA as a statistics professor at the University of Kentucky, where he established and managed, among other things, a statistical consulting center. Arne Bathke is working on the development and evaluation of new statistical methods and has given invited lectures, lectures and workshops on five continents. Furthermore his interest lies in the application and improvement of statistical procedures in interdisciplinary collaborations with colleagues from other fields from medicine and biology to economics. About half of his more than 70 publications published in international journals result from such collaborations.

Univ. Prof. Dr Manfred Tscheligi

Barrierefreiheit: Kurzbeschreibung des BildesHead of the Center for Human Computer Interaction. Univ-Prof. Dr. Manfred Tscheligi is an internationally recognized scientist in the field of human computer interaction and user experience research. He is a recognized speaker at conferences, workshops, tutorials and seminars, and author of numerous publications. He holds a wide range of research and industrial projects and is significantly involved and responsible in the Development of this research area. Prof. Tscheligi is a member of several national and international expert committees and conference committees (eg CHI conference series, Mobil HCI conference series, human-robot interaction conference series). His work is primarily based on the interdisciplinary synergy of different areas in regards to enriching interaction between people and systems.

    Sharing in favor of ArMut - Helping single parents in acute financial emergencies.
    On Wednesday, the 27th of November, 2019, the University of Salzburg warmly congratulated 56 graduates who celebrated their graduations and/or completions of doctoral theses.
    Once again, the Universitätsbibliothek Salzburg will be opening the Advent 24 Windows in the Hofstallgasse and in the online Advent calendar. Texts and images may "brighten your inspiration" in time for Christmas.
    The physician and psychologist Hendrik Lehnert was solemnly introduced to his position as Rector of the Paris Lodron University Salzburg on FR 22.11.19. The new rector will be assisted by materials chemist, Nicola Hüsing; innovation expert, Katja Hutter; financial expert, Barbara Romauer; and sociologist, Martin Weichbold.
