Forschungsinteresse
Meine Forschung konzentriert sich hauptsächlich auf molekulare Phylogenetik, Phylogeographie, Diversifikation und Taxonomie von Käfern. Aktuelle Projekte untersuchen die Artenvielfalt von Skarabäusen in Sri Lanka im Lichte ihrer evolutionären Dynamik und ihres Artenumsatzes in verschiedenen Lebensräumen und der Konnektivität von Käferpopulationen, die in Waldresten in Südafrika leben. Da Arten die Grundeinheiten des Lebens sind, befasse ich mich auch stark mit der integrativen Abgrenzung von Arten. Insbesondere kombiniere ich molekulare mit morphologischen Daten, wie sie mit geometrischer Morphometrie erhalten wurden.
