The University of Salzburg

The Paris Lodron University of Salzburg has approximately

It is the largest the largest educational institution in both the city and the province of Salzburg.

As an integral part of the cultural and economic life of Salzburg, it is a meeting place between teachers and students, scientists and the public.

The University name reflects our establishment by Prince Archbishop Paris Lodron in 1622. Since the re-establishment of the University of Salzburg in 1962, it has developed into a modern and lively university that meets the highest requirements with its four faculties in teaching and research.

    The Salzburg Armenologist, Jasmine Dum-Tragut, opens the first exhibition on 31 August, 2019, at the Genocide Museum in Yerevan. The exhibition shows the fate of Armenian prisoners of war in the Austrian prison camps during the First World War.
    Democracy and the rule of law seem to have experienced better times in Europe. The recent developments in many countries point to a dismantling of the rule of law, fundamental rights and democracy.
