Identification Card for Students
The Uni Salzburg Card is the student identification card in a cheque card format which also includes a payment function. Alongside its function as an official  form of photo identification it also enables the identification of students internally (confirmation of affiliation and enrolment in the respective semester for course and exam registration, ÖH Austrian national union of students elections and library card) as well as externally (discounts for students) – The Uni Salzburg Card  enables all students, independent of office and opening times, to take advantage of the various services the university has to offer. This is done via so-called ServicePoints (publically available self-service stations for students).

All students receive the Uni Salzburg Card at their first personal enrolment from the admissions office. It issued free of charge and should you not have already uploaded a photograph via the onlinePreregistration then a photo can be taken on the spot. In the case of loss, theft or improper use a charge will be made for the issue of a duplicate. (Application for the issue of a duplicate)

Functions
The Uni Salzburg Card can be used:

  • to extend the validity of the identification card at service points
  • as a library card in the university library
  • to copy on all copiers and printers in Salzburg University with the Quick payment function

A big advantage: The card is also an electronic purse, which you can use to make cashless payment at many places around the university (for instance university photocopiers and printers). The Quick-Cash-Chip can be loaded with up to €400 at all banks and cash dispensers with the Quick-Service function. Quick loading stations can be found in the following university buildings.

- Rudolfskai 42
- Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1
- Hellbrunnerstraße 34

With regard to the electronic purse (Quick) a contractual relationship with a limited period of validity (expiry date on the back of the card) is formed between the student and Paylife Austria. Expired cards can be exchanged free of charge at the admissions office, whereby the expired card cannot contain any Quick credit.
