Chinese-Austrian-EU Summer School 2019
                                                   July 12 - August 9, 2019, Europe

In 2002 the collaborating Chinese universities raised the wish to found a Summer School for Chinese students, who want to learn more about Europe in general and Austria in particular. As a result, the Chinese-Austrian-EU Summer School was established. This Summer School opens up the possibility for students from China to visit Europe for four weeks in order to gain an intensive insight into Austrian and European political, economic and legal system as well as to distinguish the cultural differences.

Lectures are held at the University of Salzburg, the University of  Vienna, University Paris Descartes and the University of Heidelberg. There will also be visits to the Council of Europe, the European Parliamen (both in Strabourg) and to other institutions in Europe.

Professors from the University of Salzburg will give lectures on political and law sciences, history, western philosophy, and German literature. A lecture on the tradition of Austrian Music will be held by a professor from the University Mozarteum Salzburg. The University of Vienna offers the students lectures about Intercultural Management and Human Rights. During the students' stay in Europe, they also get the chance to visit the UNO-City, the Music Society Vienna, the Castle Schönbrunn, the Trick Fountains in Salzburg, Lake Wolfgang and other beautiful European sights and cities.
