5 April: Public Lecture by Prof. Christian Neuhäuser (TU Dortmund): "Persistent Poverty and the Borders of the Welfare State"

On 5 April, 2017, Prof. Christian Neuhäuser (TU Dortmund) will give a public lecture on "Anhaltende Armut und die Grenzen des Wohlfahrtsstaates" at the Center for Ethics and Poverty Research.

Der Vortrag von Prof. Neuhäuser findet anlässlich der Buchpräsentation des Bandes "Ethical Issues in Poverty Alleviation" (Springer 2016) statt, welches von Helmut P. Gaisbauer, Gottfried Schweiger und Clemens Sedmak herausgeben wurde. Prof. Neuhäuser beschäftigt sich in seinem Vortrag mit anhaltender Armut und den Grenzen des Wohlfahrtsstaates.

Prof. Christian Neuhäuser ist seit April 2014 Juniorprofessor am Institut für Philosophie und Politikwissenschaft der TU Dortmund. Er hat in Göttingen, Berlin sowie in Hongkong studiert und in Potsdam promoviert. Zudem war Christian Neuhäuser Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Potsdam und Akademischer Rat an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Zuletzt war er als Studienleiter für den Executive-Masterstudiengang Philosophie und Management sowie für den Masterstudiengang Philosophie und Medizin tätig. Neuhäuser ist Ko-Herausgeber des Handbuch Gerechtigkeit (Metzler 2016) und des Handbuch Angewandte Ethik (Metzler 2011), er ist Autor von Amartya Sen zur Einführung (Junius 2013) und Unternehmen als moralische Akteure (Suhrkamp stw. 2011).
