From 13:00 to 18:00, lectures will be held on the subject of "Armenia". The speakers are coming from Australia, the USA and directly from Armenia, as well as from Salzburg and Vienna. The venue is Hörsaal 101 in the Faculty of Theology, Universitätsplatz 1.

    The working world is in a state of upheaval. Keywords such as “industry 4.0” or “digital transformation” are common. Triggered by ever more powerful IT systems, highly developed robotics and sensor technology, 3D printers, Clouds or "Big Data", life and work are changing fundamentally, which means there are both opportunities and risks.
    Geologists from the University of Salzburg are greatly benefiting from the recently concluded science agreement between Iran and Austria. At least three new cooperation projects are planned. The expertise of the Salzburg geologists in finding gold or rare earths is, for example, very much in demand in Iran. Rare earths are among the most coveted raw materials in the world.
    Thanks to a generous legacy by Kurt Zopf, the University of Salzburg awards the Kurt-Zopf Prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, for habilitated members of organizational units of the university, which cover the areas of humanities, cultural and / or social science, jurisprudence or theology.

    For the 29th time, the AGIT - SYMPOSIUM and EXPO for Applied Geoinformatics will take place from 5 to 7 July, 2017, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The event focuses on the latest technologies and innovations in geoinformatics.
    CHILDREN'S RIGHTS, as adopted by the United Nations in 1959 and extended to the legally binding Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989, are at the heart of this year's International Pedagogical Working Day in Salzburg, which will take place 10 - 14 July. 2017.
