Wednesday 13 March: Open Door Day

On Wednesday, 13 March, 2019, the University of Salzburg cordially invites pupils, parents and interested parties to inform themselves about the wide range of courses offered. The program can be found here: hier.

Verpackt in ein interessantes und abwechslungsreiches Programm bekommen die Besucher alle wichtigen Informationen rund um das Studium: Was kann oder soll ich studieren, wie komme ich zu einem Stipendium, wer berät mich über Auslandssemester und hilft bei der Wohnungssuche? Diese und weitere Fragen beantworten Professoren, Mitarbeiter und Studierende der Universität Salzburg im persönlichen Gespräch.

Die Besucher können den Studienalltag miterleben: Die speziell für die Gäste vorbereiteten Workshops geben Einblick in die Studieninhalte. Den regulären Lehrbetrieb kann man in „Schnuppervorlesungen“ kennen lernen.   Am Nachmittag finden Führungen durch historisch und architektonisch reizvolle Universitätsgebäude statt. Zum mit nach Hause nehmen gibt es aufschlussreiche Studienbroschüren und kleine Präsente, auch für einen kostenlosen Imbiss in der Mensa ist gesorgt.

Naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät, Hellbrunnerstraße 34, erreichbar mit der Buslinie 3.

9.00 - 10.00: Begrüßung und Einführung, Hörsaal 401 (Audi Max)

9.00 - 13.00: Infostände zu den einzelnen Studienrichtungen im Foyer der Naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät, Hellbrunnerstraße 34

ab 10.15 Uhr: Workshops und Schnuppervorlesungen zu den einzelnen Studien. Andere Fakultätsgebäude sind via Busshuttle erreichbar.

    Prof. Dr. Hendrik Lehnert was elected as the Rector of the University of Salzburg during the election session of the University Council for the coming term of office, starting on 1 October, 2019.
    Univ. Prof. Dr. Stefan Griller of the Department of Public Law, International and European Law was recently admitted to the prestigious Academia Europaea.
    The topic of fair taxation of the digital economy will be discussed in-depth on 28 February, 2019, in Salzburg, where scientists from the universities of Salzburg, Vienna, Linz and Salzburg Research, as well as experienced representatives of the economic trustees and an expert of the Ministry of Finance (BMF) will lecture.
    This year, the Knowledge Network Law, Economy and Labor, together with the Vienna Center for Legal Informatics (WZRI) of the University of Vienna, has organized what is now the largest and most important scientific conference in Austria and Central Europe in the field of legal informatics: the International Legal Informatics Symposium IRIS. The event will be held from February 21 to 23, 2019, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salzburg.
    Insights into the soul-dreamed world of magic, Nataliya Elmers offers her paintings in oil and acrylic.
    The University of Salzburg and the Wissensstadt Salzburg invite the general public to the international Open NanoScience Congress at the Unipark Nonntal on 26 February, 2019. Scientists offer insights into current research projects, whether on nanosafety or novel nanomaterials. The students from the Sparkling Science Project "Nan-O-Style" are also involved in the Congress and will present their work on nanomaterials in modern lifestyle products.
    For many years now, the international research team of Angela Schottenhammer has been collecting and editing Chinese sources on maritime Asia.
    The ONSC will take place on Tuesday, 26 February, 2019, from 9:00 – 13:00 in the Unipark Nonntal, Salzburg.
    Prof. Dr. Angela Schottenhammer is part of a multi-disciplinary, international team of scholars under the directorship of Professor Gwyn Campbell of McGill University that has been awarded a $2.5 million partnership grant funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) to investigate six periods of historical and contemporary environmental (e.g. climate change, volcanism, monsoons, cyclones, drought) ...
