22 May: Ustasha-Regime: Background & Literary Review (Workshop & Reading)

The time of the Croatian-fascist Ustasha is at the center of the event, with historian Marie-Janine Calic and the author, Robert Kleindienst.

Im einem Workshop (16.30 – ca. 18.00 Uhr) mit Prof. Dr. Marie-Janine Calic werden die politischen Hintergründe Kroatiens der 1940-er Jahre erörtert (begrenzte Teilnehmerzahl; Anmeldung s.u.).

Mit der Lesung (19.00 Uhr) von Robert Kleindienst aus seinem neu erschienenen Roman „Zeit der Häutung“ wird ein fiktionales Schicksal lebendig: Die Geschichte der Protagonistin Ana Sadak, welche als Schwesternhelferin in einem Kinder-KZ der Ustascha arbeitete und 1945 vor der heranrückenden jugoslawischen Armee aus Kroatien flüchten muss.

    Titanenwurz - One of the most spectacular plants in the world is about to flower.
    A lawyer and two researchers from the scientific discipline won the Young Investigator Awards. They were presented during the Day of the University.
    The introductory and orientation phases at universities frequently determines where a student is in a course of study. Leonhard Menges from the Department of Philosophy has presented an excellent concept.
