22 May: Health Day 2019

On 22 May, 2019, it's once again time for the PLUS Health Day. This event will take place from 9:00 – 14:00 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences!

Das heurige Motto "Zuckerfalle Diabetes" stellt die schleichende Volkskrankheit Diabetes in den Fokus der Angebote. Die Zahl der in Österreich an Diabetes mellitus erkrankten Personen wird auf rund 600.000 Personen geschätzt, Tendenz stark steigend. Rund 20 Prozent wissen (noch) nichts von ihrer Erkrankung - das Wissen um die eigenen Zuckerwerte, Präventionsmaßnahmen wie regelmäßige Gesundenuntersuchung und Lebensstiländerung können helfen, langfristig Schädigungen zu vermeiden!

Das Programm bietet neben einer Zuckerschnelltestung und Blutdruckmessung auch Vorträge zum Themenkomplex, begleitet von einer "Kochstation" mit der Zubereitung leckerer Snacks, die positiv auf den Insulinspiegel wirken, Workshops zu sportlichen Aktivitäten sowie einer Gesundheits- und Fitnesstrasse. Die BVA wird mit einem Informationsstand vertreten sein.

Der Besuch des Botanischen Gartens (Gesundes aus dem Bauerngarten), der PLUS Green Campus Stand sowie ein gut bestückter Büchertisch der UB regen zum Genießen, Nachlesen und Informationen sammeln an.

Zeitgleich wird auch heuer wieder die Blutspendeaktion "Blutspenden gegen Krebs" des Roten Kreuzes durchgeführt.

Der Gesundheitstag ist Green Meeting zertifiziert - bitte nützen Sie öffentliche Verkehrsmittel oder das Fahrrad für den Weg an die NAWI!

Der Besuch des Gesundheitstages kann während der Dienstzeit erfolgen!
