With Alexandra Föderl Schmid, Israel correspondent of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Marko Feingold, President of the Jewish Community Salzburg, on the occasion of his 106th birthday.

Die frühere Standard-Chefredakteurin und jetzige Israel-Korrespondentin für die Süddeutsche Zeitung Alexandra Föderl-Schmid hat in ihrem aktuellen Buch 24 Gespräche mit Holocaust-Überlebenden, u.a. mit Marko Feingold aufgezeichnet. Viele Holocaust-Überlebende können erst, wenn sich ihr Lebensende nähert, über die damaligen Erlebnisse sprechen.

Sie haben Pogrome erlebt, häufig auch Konzentrationslager. Die Erfahrungen von Flucht und Vertreibung haben sie geprägt. Die noch Lebenden sind Zeitzeugen, ihre Lebensgeschichten sind einzigartig.
