Salzburg-born author, Franz Paul Horn, presents his first novel »Over the Borders«. In the summer of 2015, he ventured with two friends on a bike ride to Iran. This journey changes his life….

Zum Autor: Franz Paul Horn studierte Biologie und Publizistik, arbeitete als Ökologe an der Universität Wien, später im Naturschutz. Seine Reisen führen ihn um die Welt. Im Sommer 2015 wagt er mit zwei Freunden eine Radtour in den Iran. Diese Reise verändert sein Leben ...

    Salzburg biologists Anja Hörger and Stephanie Socher receive 150,000 Euros in funding for their courageous project idea within the framework of the new “1000 ideas program” from the Austrian Science Fund FWF. Over the next two years the young scientists “Immortal Titans”, will analyze the huge genome of the Titan Arum, the largest flower in the world. The “1000 Ideas Programme” is intended to support high-risk research in order to increase Austria's innovative strength.
