Christina Antenhofer Is Now a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts

The Salzburg historian, Christina Antenhofer, was recently appointed a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Historical Class).

Christina Antenhofer lehrt und forscht als Professorin für Mittelalterliche Geschichte seit 1. Oktober 2018 an der Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg. Im Oktober 2019 wurde sie nun aufgrund ihrer interdisziplinären Forschungsansätze zum ordentlichen Mitglied der Europäischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste (Historische Klasse) gewählt. Im Zentrum von Christina Antenhofers Forschungen stehen Austauschprozesse zwischen italienischer Renaissance und dem Mittelalter nördlich der Alpen, die sie vor allem entlang von fürstlichen Eheverbindungen untersucht.

Schwerpunkte gelten der Geschlechtergeschichte, der materiellen Kultur und der Kommunikationsgeschichte. Christina Antenhofer ist Mitglied des soeben bewilligten DFG Netzwerks Dinge in der Literatur des Mittelalters – historische Formen der Ding-Mensch-Relation, des AHRC Networks The Mobility of Objects Across Boundaries 1000–1700 und Initiatorin des Netzwerks zur Inventarforschung, das aus einer internationalen und interdisziplinären Tagung zu Inventaren als Texten und Artefakten hervorgegangen ist, die vom 5.-6. September an der PLUS stattfand.
