Uni Salzburg involved in "Digital Innovation Hub West"

The project „Digital Innovation Hub West“ is funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs. In addition to public cooperation partners Austria's universities and universities of applied sciences are also involved. The University of Salzburg is also participating in this project, and is represented by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Uhl (Department of Computer Sciences).

Das Projekt hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, das Know-how der Forschungseinrichtungen für heimische Betriebe zugänglich zu machen, um mit am Aufschwung- und Wachstumspotenzial der Digitalisierung zu profitieren.  Das Bundesministerium stellt dafür fünf Millionen Euro zur Verfügung.

Die ExpertInnen des Digital Innovation Hub West befassen sich mit Themen wie Innovationsmanagment, IT-Qualität und Security, Data Science, Produktion sowie Tourismus und Gesundheit. Dazu gibt es Weiterbildungsangebote im Rahmen des Projektes, an dem sich Interessierte beteiligen können.

    Salzburg biologists Anja Hörger and Stephanie Socher receive 150,000 Euros in funding for their courageous project idea within the framework of the new “1000 ideas program” from the Austrian Science Fund FWF. Over the next two years the young scientists “Immortal Titans”, will analyze the huge genome of the Titan Arum, the largest flower in the world.     You want to start a teaching degree at the University of Salzburg and are considering choosing one ( or even two) Romance language(s) but you have some questions, uncertainties or doubts about the possibilities and the university level education in the Department of Fachbereich Romance Studies?
    150 participants have already taken the opportunity to register for more than 50 courses on IT and digitialisation at the ditact_women's IT summer studies at the University of Salzburg, which will take place from the 01.09.-12.09.2020.Registration is still possible until the 12. July and then the remaining places will be taken as last minute reservations.
