    Auf der 122. Jahrestagung in Paderborn wurde die Salzburger Erziehungswissenschaftlerin Sabine Seichter in den Vorstand der interdisziplinären und internationalen Görres-Gesellschaft gewählt.
    „Die Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg gratuliert ihrem Ehrendoktor Peter Handke sehr herzlich zur Verleihung des Literaturnobelpreises 2019“, betont Rektor Hendrik Lehnert. Ihre Verbundenheit mit Leben und Werk des bedeutenden österreichischen Autors dokumentiere sich auf mehrfacher Ebene, insbesondere mit den Salzburger Germanisten und dem Literaturarchiv, so Lehnert.
    Die BatterieforscherInnen vom Fachbereich Chemie und Physik der Materialien der PLUS gratulieren herzlichst und freuen sich mit den drei frischgekürten Nobellaureaten John B. Goodenough, M. Stanley Whittingham und Akira Yoshino!
    An seinem 39. Hochzeitstag hat die Universität Salzburg Universitätsprofessor Heinrich Schmidinger als Rektor verabschiedet. Er freue sich nun auf etwas mehr Verantwortungslosigkeit, sagte er im Rahmen des Festakts in der Großen Universitätsaula.
    Am 18. September 2019 startete der zweite Durchgang von Karriere_Mentoring III, dem Karriereentwicklungsprogramm für Wissenschafterinnen (Dissertantinnen und Habilitandinnen) der Universitäten Krems, Linz und Salzburg.
    Geschichte in Regionalmuseen, aber wie? Eine Ringvorlesung in Kooperation mit dem Landesverband der Salzburger Museen und Sammlungen diskutiert Konzepte und Praxis.
    Der Mond als hellstes Nachtgestirn mit seiner im Laufe des Monats wechselnden Gestalt, seinem Verschwinden bei Neumond oder dem Ausnahmeereignis einer Finsternis hat Menschen aller Zeiten, so auch im Alten Ägypten, zur Reflektion über Ursachen und Wirkungen dieser Phänomene angeregt.
    In diesem Jahr feiern Japan und Österreich das 150. Jubiläum der Unterzeichnung des bilateralen Freundschaftsvertrages. Aus diesem Anlass veranstaltet die Universität Salzburg in Kooperation mit Stadt und Land Salzburg die Konferenz "Japan an Viennesemodernism".
    Mit dem Thema ESG Regulierung – Auswirkungen des EU Aktionsplans kommt das Impact Forum Europe bereits zum sechsten Mal nach Salzburg.
    Der Fachbereich Slawistik möchte Sie zusammen mit dem Kulturzentrum DAS KINO sehr herzlich zum vierten Teil unserer erfolgreichen Kinoreihe der ost- und mittelosteuropäischen Filme einladen. Im Rahmen des Filmklubs „Slawistyka, Slavistika, Cлавистика“ werden preisgekrönte aktuelle polnische, russische und tschechische Filme mit gesellschaftlicher und politischer Thematik gezeigt.
    Demokratie und Rechtsstaat scheinen in Europa schon bessere Zeiten erlebt zu haben. Die jüngsten Entwicklungen in vielen Staaten weisen auf einen Abbau von Rechtsstaatlichkeit, Grundrechten und Demokratie hin.
    Am 31.10.2019 veranstaltet das WissensNetzwerk Recht, Wirtschaft und Arbeitswelt der Universität Salzburg ein Symposium zur Ertragsbesteuerung von Personengesellschaften (Mitunternehmerschaften).
