Archaeometry and Cultural Heritage Computing

The research group Archaeometry & Cultural Heritage Computing (CHC) consists of a trans-disciplinary team of geologists, ancient historians and IT specialists. We focus on the research and development of natural scientific methods for the documentation and provenance analysis of objects made up of natural stone, ceramic, and glass. We develop and operate databank and web-based information systems for visualisation, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets. We provide a platform for national and international, interdisciplinary projects concerned with the cultural heritage of mankind.
