    Rund 200 Vertreter/innen aller österreichischen Universitäten und Hochschulen trafen an der Universität Salzburg zusammen, um Entwicklungen der internationalen Zusammenarbeit zu diskutieren.
    Das Universitätsfitnesszentrum präsentiert sich in neuem Kleide. Sechs Jahre nach seiner Eröffnung wurde es jetzt über den Sommer ausgebaut und deutlich vergrößert.
    Dr. Thomas Berger wurde im Rahmen der 17. Österreichischen Chemietage, die vom 25.-28. September 2017 an der Universität Salzburg stattfanden, von der Gesellschaft Österreichischer Chemiker (GÖCh) ausgezeichnet.
    Am Samstag, den 11. November wurde an Rektor Heinrich Schmidinger der Kardinal-Innitzer-Würdigungspreis 2017 in der Kategorie „Geisteswissenschaft“ verliehen.

    Die Forschungsgruppe Medienwandel organisiert zum Thema Fake News eine Veranstaltung mit zwei Podiumsdiskussionen im SN-Saal.
    ICANN gilt als die “Regierung” des Internet. Diese NGO stellt sicher, dass Zugriff und Abruf reibungslos funktionieren und sie vergibt die so genannten Top Level Domains. Ihre zentrale Position im weltweiten Netzwerk hat ICANN aber auch Kritik eingetragen – vor allem die Politik der Berücksichtigung einschlägiger zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen gibt zu reden.
