Welcome to the Homepage of the Department of Art History, Musicology and Dance Studies.

Emerging from the Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences at the University of Salzburg, our department was created in 2004 as a result of the union of the Institute of Art History and Musicology. At the same time, the Dance Studies were added as a third field of study.

    The Salzburg political scientist Andreas Dür receives the award from the state of Vorarlberg.

    Forty-five participants and 15 lecturers from all over the world are currently discussing current problems of international criminal law as part of the 20th Anniversary Summer Course of the Salzburg Law School on International Criminal Law, Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Law.

    Fear as an underlying feeling of the present, whose pathological formation is to be resisted was the topic dedicated to the Salzburger Hochschulwochen 2018.

    The 6th Salzburg Summer School will take place from 3 to 4 September, 2018. For two days, a comprehensive pedagogical summer education program will be offered to teachers and student teachers of all types of schools and subjects. Registration is possible.
