    Marie Andessner Prizes were conferred upon both the psychologist, Ann-Kathrin Joechner, and the mathematician, Nicole Vorderobermaier, on Thursday, 21 March, 2019, for their outstanding Master's theses in the natural sciences.

    An important graduate of our university is a guest at the 3rd "Alumni Talk": Dr. Wolfgang Eder, CEO voestalpine AG, talks to Editor-in-Chief Manfred Perterer (Salzburger Nachrichten) about his career. Afterwards the Alumni Club invites attendees for a glass of wine.
    "We have really changed lives!": An international scientific conference at the Paris-Lodron University of Salzburg (26.-27.03.2019) and a research project on school quality development and teacher education, in which scientists from the University of Oxford and the University of Salzburg cooperate.

    From 29 July 29 to 30 August, 2019, the Kinderbüro of the University of Salzburg will again offer summer care in the premises of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Children between the ages of 3 and 10 are looked after by experienced pedagogues.
    The (English-language) seminar on “Transnational Supply Chains and Domestic Human Rights Litigation” deals with legal questions that arise when human rights abuses in transnational supply chains give rise to domestic law suits.
    On 28 and 29 March, the symposium by Dr. Robert R. Junker, Life Sciences, in cooperation with the DSPs "Dynamic Mountain Environments" and "Statistics and Applied Data Science" will take place. This is the kick-off event of the START Project (FWF) "Successional Generation of Functional Multidiversity".
    On 29 and 30 March, the workshop of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Kornelia Hahn, Department of Sociology, in cooperation with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Langenohl, University of Giessen will be held at the Unipark Nonntal.

    The Paris Lodron University Salzburg, together with the Bowling Green State University, Ohio, has organized the annual Austrian Studies Association Conference in the USA from 11 to 14 April, 2019. This year's conference hosts are Bowling Green State University and the University of Salzburg. They celebrate their 50-year partnership.
